The UK market is estimated to be worth about £34 billion of which call revenues are estimated to be about 50%. Revenues are currently showing no growth for two main reasons:

• people and organisations are delaying the decision to replace handsets during the recession; and
• competition on prices between major supplies.

However, a return to growth is expected post 2010, facilitated by mobile phone and broadband uptake, along with technological advancements.
